Empowering Afghan Women through Freelance Skill Training

This project, implemented by GFSHO in partnership with TLO under the Small Grant initiative, focused on enhancing community-based health and social services and empowering Afghan women through freelance skill training. Through coordination, community engagement, capacity-building workshops, and resource planning, the project aimed to improve the well-being and economic participation of women and local communities in Herat.
Key Achievements:
Established a formal partnership between GFSHO and TLO
Increased community awareness of health and social challenges
Strengthened the capacity of local stakeholders
Built a foundation for future collaborative efforts
Challenges: Limited funding, logistical constraints, and regional security concerns.
Recommendations: Expand partnerships, secure additional resources, and develop a sustainable long-term strategy for social and health development.
